So I was walking home tonight after dropping some tea off at ryans, and I saw this guy stumbling past the pools. I thought it was some kid that had just tried to skate over the ice(the pools aren't empties out, shadowood is too poor or something haha) so I didn't think much about it.

I kept on walking past the pools, and suddently this guy pops out of the woods next to me. He looks at me as he was grabbing onto a nearby tree branch and says "You know whenever you're unsteady grab a tree branch. Trees have roots that go deep into the earth, they're stable. Cause if mother earth created them, and gods mother earth, then they gotta be here for us, right? Its like adementium, thats stuff from the earth. Good strong stuff. He was so strong cause of the adamentium in his body, he was unbreakable. Thats why that guy witht he metal helmet couldn't beat him, because he was unbreakable. There are some people who are stronger than others. Some of these people dont do what they want with their power, but use it to protect their friends. We need more over these people. Like Riddick, fromt he chronicles of riddick. He protected his people, he stood for what he standed for. Like Frederick Douglass. You study your african american history? Frederick douglas was a slave back in the day, back in my day. He was imancipated and held a government postion as a diplomat. One of thsoe people who sees other country people. He had to prtocet this young lady, and he went back to being a slave to be with this young lady. That protection, thats whats important. He had a boxing match with the owner and won his freedom, but he still protected that woman.

Then he keeps bringing up frederick douglas, starts some hisotry lessons. Gets some of that patriotism going telling me to serve my country. After asking me how I was doing in my math class, he said to chop up on that. Go to the library and theres this book "All the math youll ever need" and shit like that. His biology teacher said to him-"If you learn anything from this class, learn that when someones drunk to flip them over. To turn over one of your buddies. If you learn anything from this class, learn how to protect each other, and that you can do anything in life as long as you keep living it. Learn to be there for each other, and nothing else will matter." he had saved a stranger at the town center a few weeks earlier, not bragging about it, but saying "You know, after twenty seven years, it still works. it still works"

The entire time he had been carrying this plastic bag, hadn't thought much about it, but as he put it to his mouth and took a few sips I noticed it was alchocal, id thought he ahd just picked up some plastic bag or something. Smelt pretty good too, must have been a wine. He had this heavy brittish accent, but he talked like a proud american, so It was probably just a drunk thing. His eyes were very kind, probably why i stayed to listen to what he had to say.



Funny how sometimes life accidentally teaches you morals eh? I'd been waiting for ryan to get home cause i had given him my laptop a ways back, and hed give it back to me for a box of tea. I knew he wasn't home but figured ah well, i might as well go drop it off now, at least hell have some that way. I can get the laptop back some other day. And i needed to get out, so I went. And talking to that drunk made my day a little interesting, something to talk about. Made me feel better too. So maybe you should say yes to those little things, cause you never know what might happen.
